Inflatable Outdoor Movie Screen

This summer in Charlotte has been filled with great events.  One of those events has been the Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series.  Since June 16th the Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series has been showing movies under the stars.  Tonight at the Jetton Village the movie Charlotte’s Web will be featured.  The last day for this series is on August 21, 2010.

Bring any of your own seats or blankets and be prepared to have a good time watching Charlotte’s Web on their state of the art inflatable blimp-screen.  This is a free event but in case you get hungry there will be refreshments and snack to buy.

Alpha Mill Apartments in Charlotte has a lot of movie-buffs.  I like to watch movies too, it just relaxes me at the same time feeding my imagination with wonderful child like thoughts, especially when watching something like Charlotte’s Web.  It’s such a child hood classic film!  So enjoy yourselves this evening Alpha Mill Residents.

Here is a link for you if you are interested in purchasing your own Inflatable Outdoor Movie Screen

Paul Mccartney

Sir James Paul McCartney Live in Charlotte, NC

Tonight is the night. Sir James Paul McCartney will be live at the Time Warner Cable Arena

Alpha Mill Apartments in Charlotte,  I sure do hope that you already have you tickets.  If not you might have to take out a loan for this event.  Just kidding.  But what you should not do is go and stand on the corner Uptown in Charlotte at the Time Warner Cable Arena and yell out “Does anyone have an extra Paul McCartney ticket that they could over charge me for!?”  That just wouldn’t be very effective. (smh)

Here’s a thought!  Sir James enjoys to eat good food (obviously) and there is a rumor going around about him stopping in at The King’s Kitchen for some yummy yummy that will feel his tummy.

The concert starts tonight July 28th at 6:00 pm in Charlotte so get there early.  On the other hand, if McCartney doesn’t show up at The King’s Kitchen then at least you’ll Eat Well and Do Good.

Here is the video Say Say Say by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson.  I remember the first time I heard this song I wanted to get some Mac and Jack for myself and go out arm wrestling all the bullies in the apartment community… Lol Enjoy!

The Entrepreneurial Revolution

Don’t be afraid, Charlotte is a prime location for entrepreneurs to emerge and lead the nation.

Why has this become one of the greatest times to produce wealth?  Well it’s quite simple.  The majority of people have become afraid to make any substantial or risky moves because of the economic rumor that there is no longer anymore money on the planet.  A revolution is going on similar to that of the industrial revolution.  But just like after that revolution the industrial age was born here goes the entrepreneurial age.

Have you thought about starting a business in Charlotte?

Now, the age of the True Entrepreneur is Evolving. Not the typical hustler or shyster with a get-rich-quick business scheme, but that individual who is a concerned leader who makes himself indispensable by being valuable.  The person who faces the challenge of being authentic and doing the work that really matters.

The internet has laid the opportunity for anyone to reach the individual consumer in a personal and effective way.  Have you ever heard Seth Godin talk about The Entrepreneurial RevolutionEntrepreneur.com has a great way of encouraging you to do something about what you’ve been thinking about.  Watch this video with Seth Godin and We believe that even with only an once of an entrepreneurial spirit in you, that you’ll be inspired to go out and to do something that will make you more valuable as an entrepreneur.

Networking in Charlotte is great because you can find so many interesting people that want to contribute value.  Just look at Alpha Mill Apartment Residents.  Leave us a comment and let us know some of the places you go to network in Charlotte.

Fresh Cupcakes

May 19, 2010 by Anne

For my daughter’s second birthday today I needed to bring in some treats to her daycare class. I had great plans to make homemade cupcakes with frosting made from real butter and powdered sugar. After getting home from work yesterday, I realized I had no time to make the cupcakes…and decorate the house…and take her Toys R Us for a shopping spree….and well, sleep.

So off to the store I went. I found these amazing cupcakes from The Fresh Market.  They have a new line of gourmet cupcakes in all different flavors. They have vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and my personal favorite red velvet. The location at 4223 Providence Road is closest to Alpha Mill.

The cupcakes are beautiful and yummy. I have to admit I just had to taste one last night. Her daycare party will be a success and those cupcakes are more beautiful than anything I could have made!

What’s your favorite kind of cupcake?

Local Savings in Charlotte

My friend Lyndsey recently told me about this amazing website that offers discounts to local places in Charlotte. Groupon.com offers a daily deal such as half-off tickets to the theater, discounts off restaurants and unique, cheap packages to your favorite florist, photographer, etc.

It’s simple to sign-up and completely free. All you have to do is wait for your daily email to start saving some dough!

My favorite deal offered was a one hour massage at Healing Touch for only $29! That’s a savings of more than 50%. I plan to use it next week to launch my vacation.

I love that there is no obligation to buy at Groupon.com. You can even buy multiple deals for the ones that you love!

Has anyone bought a deal from Groupon.com?
