National Fresh Breath Day August 6
When Bad Breath Come, It Comes In Hot!

Old Friend… “Hello, how are you?”

You respond with a frowning face turned gently to the right as your nostrils flair up, “Whoa! Yeah, I’m doing good.”

Bad Breath

With your hand you frantically pat your pockets in search of a stick of gum or a minty fresh cough drop.  Eureka! “Here, have a mint.”  With excitement and relief you offer the mint firmly hoping that they won’t be offended but refusing to be refused.

Hallelujah!  Your nose screams with joy… Happy National Fresh Breath Day! Help a friend to a stick of gum or Tic-Tac and be sure to help yourself.

Make a regular appointment to have a check up at the dentists officeHalitosis is used to refer to a noticeably unpleasant odor that comes from your mouth when you exhale.   Having bad breath is not a joke, but having having a healthy mouth is a serious matter.

Top 20 Drinks to Avoid

April 17, 2010 by Anne

lemonadeI recently started a diet. To keep me motivated I’m not calling it a diet…rather, it’s an eating healthy lifestyle. I like feel-good phrases.

One of this first things I did to kick-off my healthy eating was give-up sugary beverages. According to this article by Men’s Heath, nearly one-quarter of the average American’s daily calories are consumed in liquids. I would much rather EAT my calories than drink them, thank-you-very-much.

Here’s the list of the top 20 drinks to avoid at all costs if you’re trying to lose weight. There are also tips on what to drink instead. For example a 20 ounce Minute Maid Lemonade has 67 grams of sugar and 250 calories! If you switch to Crystal Light lemonade you’d save 240 calories.

What are your favorite healthy beverages?

Octomom… One year later.

Nadya Suleman, known as Octomom, is on the cover of Star Magazine this week in a bikini. She’s showing-off her after baby bod after losing 150lbs in a year. It was just a year ago in January 2009 that she broke records by birthing 8 babies. She also has 7 other children.

She says in Star that she did not have surgery nor did she go on any crazy diets. She attributes her weight loss to healthy eating and exercise.

I have one baby and have struggled to lose weight. No matter what you think of Octomom, you have to give it to her for being bikini ready in just a year.

You can see pics here.

It’s the end of the year and the end of the decade.  It was crazy ride this decade and an even crazier year.  I decided to look at some “Top 10″ list of the year and decade.  Please comment and tell me what you think.

As always losing weight and staying fit is at the top of most people’s list.  There were so many trends to choose from this year.  The one that I think hit the most was the Wii Fit.  Does it really work though?  I have a Wii and I love to bowl, but really haven’t lost any weight, my arms hurt all the time though.

What’s your top fitness trend of the year? More top fitness trends here.
